ORINDA COMMUNITY CENTER

The Orinda Community Center, located at 28 Orinda Way in Orinda, is easily accessible from the Oakland/Berkeley and Walnut Creek areas via Highway 24. The Center is an Orinda historical landmark site (the first Orinda Union School), built in 1928. The Community Center is administered by the City of Orinda Parks and Recreation Department. This beautiful facility with a wide variety of rooms is available to rent for banquets, parties, weddings, meetings, and performances. The Community Center accommodates groups, from small class-sized gatherings to large functions.

The Auditorium is a 36’ x 62’, 2,232 square foot room with hard wood floors and adjustable lighting. It seats up to 127 people banquet- style, 200 theater style and 300 standing.

The Auditorium may be combined with the two adjacent rooms to accommodate larger functions.

The Community Center Kitchen is full service and ideal for catered events. Amenities include an industrial stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. The kitchen and Room 4 (adjacent) may be rented separately for special meetings (Capacity 49).

The Community Center also has a variety of smaller rooms ideal for meetings.

 

 

Rentals include the use of tables and chairs. The following equipment is available for an additional fee: sound system, microphone, VCR, LCD, slide projector, overhead projector, coffee urn, and flip chart.
