Stop by the Orinda Parks and Recreation Department located at 28 Orinda Way or
call the Department at (925) 254-2445 and ask to be put on the mailing list.
All Orinda residents along with recent class participants receive one. The class catalog
is also available online in PDF format.

How Do I Enroll for a Class at the Community Center?
Refer to the registration section of the recreation brochure, or come by the
Orinda Community Center, located at 26 Orinda Way in Orinda. Monday to Friday,
8:30 – 12:30 or 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. or mail a registration form in with a check to:

Do Senior Citizens Receive a Discount?
Yes, all seniors, ages 60+ may receive a $2.00 discount on any classes $20 and over taken at the Orinda Community Center.

How do I Reserve the Community Center for a Party
or Business Meeting?

The Orinda Community Center may be rented for functions for up to 300 people. To find our more information on rates and policies please review the on-line facility rental information located in Parks & Recreation. To find out about available dates please contact our Rental Coordinator, at (925) 253-4208.

Are There Youth Sports Programs in Which My Child
Can Participate?

Yes, The City of Orinda Recreation and Park Department offers year round youth sports programs through the Orinda Youth Association . The sports offered include: baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and Lacrosse. For more information call the OYA office at (925) 253-4204. Youth classes are offered year-round through the recreation class program. Information is available in the Orinda Recreation Program brochure.

May I Rent a Picnic Area for a Family or Group Function?
Yes, The Orinda Oaks Park is available for group rentals. Rental of the park may
be scheduled by calling (925) 253-4208. The Orinda Community Center Park is not available for reservation. For more information see Facilities. The park is used on a first come, first served basis.

How Do I Schedule a Kindergym Party?
Kindergym Parties may be scheduled by calling at (925) 253-4207.

Does the Community Center Offer Special Events?
All the special events that are offered at the Community Center are put on by volunteers with the Orinda Community Center Auxiliary (OCCA). The events are
year round and include: the Spring Egg Hunt (at Spring Break), a Halloween Parade (the Friday before Halloween), Summer Concerts In The Park (Tuesdays all summer
in the Community Center Park) and the Holiday Bazaar (early November).

Does the Orinda Recreation and Parks Department
Offer Any Camps for Children?

Yes, the Orinda Parks and Recreation Department offers year round sports and summer and holiday camps for preschool through grade school. All camp information is in each season’s recreation brochure distributed three times each year. Throughout the year the information is available from the Orinda Recreation Program brochure.

Does the City of Orinda Offer Any Adult Sports Programs?
Yes, the Orinda Park and Recreation Department offers year round adult sports opportunities, which include leagues for 3-On-3 and 5-On-5 Basketball, coed and men’s softball and adult drop-in basketball. Does the Orinda Parks and Recreation Department Have Any Part Time or Seasonal Jobs?
Yes, there are part time positions available year round serving as Gym and Building Attendants. There are summer positions available as Camp Instructors and Counselors. Throughout the year there are contract youth and adult sports positions available serving as scorekeepers and game officials.
